About the game
Source of Madness drops players into a shadowy, side-scrolling roguelite built around a distorted realm drawing on Lovecraft's mythology, where foes and settings take shape through machine-learning-driven procedural generation. Playing as a newly initiated Acolyte, players face a harrowing journey through waking nightmares. Carry Castle developed the title, and Thunderful Publishing released it in 2022.
Did you know?
The game's monsters aren't hand-drawn — a machine-learning algorithm assembles their look and movement procedurally, so no two playthroughs feature quite the same creatures.
